1. Information We Collect

TrustAuto ("TrustAuto," "we," "us," or "our") collects information you choose to give us when you use this website, including through our "Find Your Car" tool and any contact or inquiry forms. Depending on what you submit, this may include:

  • Name
  • Phone number and email address
  • City, state, and ZIP code
  • Vehicle type and vehicle preferences
  • Budget, payment preferences, and down payment information
  • Financing or purchase method preferences (finance, lease, or cash)
  • Credit-range information, if you choose to provide it
  • Employment length and income information, if you choose to provide it
  • Preferred contact method and preferred contact time

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and general usage information (like which pages you view). See Cookies & Tracking below for more detail on how this information is collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests
  • Contact you about vehicles, pricing, or services you've asked about
  • Process and manage your submission as a lead in our system
  • Schedule appointments or follow-ups
  • Provide the vehicle or financing information you've requested
  • Operate, maintain, and improve this website
  • Understand how our marketing and outreach are performing
  • Help detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests

If you check the consent box in our "Find Your Car" flow, you're separately agreeing to be contacted by call, text, or email — including by automated technology — about your request, as described at the point of collection. That consent is not a condition of purchase.

3. How We Share Information

We do not share your personal information except as reasonably necessary to operate our business and serve you, including with:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — our website and lead-management system are hosted on Netlify, which stores submitted lead data on our behalf.
  • Communication providers — if configured, a form-notification service (such as Formspree) may be used solely to email our team a copy of a new lead submission.
  • Automotive and dealership partners — when reasonably necessary to help locate, price, or arrange a vehicle for you.
  • Financing or lending partners — only when you request financing or purchase assistance, so a lender can evaluate your request.
  • Professional advisors or legal authorities — when required to comply with law, protect our rights, or respond to legal process.

We currently do not use third-party advertising, retargeting, or analytics services on this website. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy accordingly.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

TrustAuto does not sell personal information for money, and we do not share the personal information you submit with third parties simply so they can market their own products or services to you. The limited sharing described in How We Share Information above is done to operate our business and fulfill your request — not to sell your data.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This website uses only limited, essential cookies needed for core functionality (for example, keeping our internal admin/staff login area secure). We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or retargeting cookies or pixels. For full detail on the cookies this site uses and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain the information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, manage our customer relationship with you, and meet our legal, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information you submit, and we limit access to customer information to the people and service providers who need it to do their jobs. Our internal admin tools are protected by password authentication and signed, HttpOnly session cookies that can't be read or forged from front-end scripts.

That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid submitting highly sensitive information (such as full financial account numbers or government ID numbers) through our general web forms; if a lender or partner needs that kind of information, it will be collected through their own secure, appropriate channel.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to restrict certain uses of it. You can make a request by contacting us using the information in Contact Us below. We'll respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

You can also opt out of further marketing contact from us at any time by replying "STOP" to a text message, unsubscribing from an email, or simply telling us directly that you'd like us to stop contacting you.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

A growing number of U.S. states have enacted consumer privacy laws that may give residents of those states specific rights over their personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing. We aim to honor applicable rights afforded to you under the law of your state of residence. We do not claim compliance with any specific state privacy law unless and until that law applies to our business and we've taken the steps necessary to comply with it. If you believe a specific state law applies to your request, please let us know when you contact us so we can route your request appropriately.

TrustAuto is based in Florida. Florida's data privacy framework (including the Florida Digital Bill of Rights) may apply to certain larger businesses; we've written this policy to reflect fair, transparent privacy practices regardless of whether every provision of a specific law technically applies to us.

10. Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults seeking to purchase or finance a vehicle. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

11. Third-Party Websites & Services

Our website may link to third-party websites (for example, a lender's site or a mapping service). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. When we do, we'll update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. If changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to make that clear, such as a notice on our homepage.
