1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They're widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies (like local storage) can serve related purposes.
2. Cookies We Use on This Site
We've reviewed our own site's code so this section reflects what we actually use — not a generic list.
We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising or marketing cookies, or third-party tracking pixels anywhere on this public website. There's no Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, ad-retargeting tag, or similar technology running on the pages you browse, request a vehicle through, or submit a lead form on.
The one cookie the site does set is a small, first-party essential/session cookie used only to keep our internal staff admin dashboard secure (it's not set on any page a customer browses to shop for a car). That cookie is HttpOnly and Secure, carries a signed session token, and expires automatically — it's not used to track visitors or for advertising.
3. Types of Cookies, Explained
For reference, here's what each common cookie category means — and whether we currently use it:
Essential cookies
Necessary for a site to function, such as keeping a login session secure. We use one, limited to our internal admin login (see above).
Analytics cookies
Used to understand how visitors use a site (pages viewed, time on site, etc.), typically through a service like Google Analytics. We do not currently use analytics cookies.
Functional cookies
Used to remember your preferences (like a saved form state) to improve your experience. We do not currently use functional cookies beyond ordinary in-page browser memory that never leaves your device.
Advertising / marketing cookies
Used to show you relevant ads or measure ad performance across sites, typically through ad networks or social platforms. We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies.
Session cookies
Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. Our admin session cookie is short-lived and expires automatically.
Persistent cookies
Cookies that remain on your device for a set period. We do not currently set any persistent cookies on the public, customer-facing part of the Site.
4. Third-Party Cookies & Services
Our website and lead-management tools are hosted on Netlify, and if we choose to enable an optional email-notification service (such as Formspree) for new leads, that service processes the form data needed to send the notification — but it does not place tracking cookies in your browser as part of that process. If we add any analytics, advertising, or other cookie-setting service in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy first so it accurately reflects what's running on the Site.
5. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Since this Site currently uses only one essential cookie (limited to our internal admin login), blocking cookies in your browser will not affect your ability to browse the Site or use the "Find Your Car" tool as a customer. You can typically manage cookie settings via your browser's "Privacy" or "Security" preferences.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
If the cookies or tracking technologies used on this Site change — for example, if we add analytics or advertising tools in the future — we'll update this page and the "Effective Date" above to accurately reflect what's in use.
